Sometimes it can be a simple fix to connect to your Pod, so we recommend you try these instructions first:
- Please turn Bluetooth off and back on again on your phone
- Uninstall and reinstall the Apex Athlete Series app from the App Store
- Login to the Apex Athlete Series app
- Turn the Pod on
- Press the ‘Menu’ icon at the top left of your Dashboard
- Press ‘Configure Apex’
- You should be able to pair your pod again
If those instructions didn’t work, please try to factory reset your Pod.
*Please note factory reset can wipe all session data from the Pod.
In order to Factory Reset the Pod admin privileges are required. Please follow these instructions:

- Download the Apex Factory Reset Tool to your computer.

- Open the Apex Factory Reset Tool app, downloading will commence.
- Select Extract All
- Save the factory reset tool to your commuter, rename and browse a location to save it on your computer.
- Select “Extract”, double click on the Apex Factory Reset Tool Installer
- Select Run, “More Info” and select “Run Anyway”.
- Select I agree to T&C’s.
- Select “Install” and select “Yes”
- Search Apex Factory Reset Tool on your computer.
- Right click on the tool and select ‘Run as Administrator’. Click ‘Yes’.
- Once the tool has opened on the computer, Plug the Pod into the computer using your USB cable
- Once the Pod is connected (check for a green tick on screen and the text ‘Apex Pod Connected’ being displayed), select ‘Start Factory Reset’
- The Pod will then display ‘30 secs to init factory reset’ on the LED screen.
- Remove the Pod from the USB cable within this time frame.
- The Pod will then be factory reset and will display ‘Unpaired Device’ on the LED screen. The Pod is ready to be paired to the app.

- Open the Apex Factory Reset Tool app
- A popup will ask for All File permissions – select allow access.
- System preferences will be displayed - select the lock on the bottom left (requires admin privileges)
- Select the Apex Factory Reset Tool in the list and ensure there is a tick beside it. It will ask you to quit the app, select ok.
- Reopen the Apex Factory Reset Tool app
- Plug the Pod into the computer using your USB cable
- Once the Pod is connected (check for a green tick on screen and the text ‘Apex Pod Connected’ being displayed), select ‘Start Factory Reset’
- You will be asked to enter your computer admin username and password – once this has done the reset will start.
- The Pod will then display ‘30 secs to init factory reset’ on the LED screen.
- Remove the Pod from the USB cable within this time frame.
- The Pod will then be factory reset and will display ‘Unpaired Device’ on the LED screen. The Pod is ready to be paired to the app.

In order to pair the disconnected Pod to the app:
- Ensure the Pod is switched on. The text ‘Unpaired Device’ should be displayed on the Pod’s LED screen
- Press the ‘Menu’ icon at the top left of your Dashboard in the Apex Athlete Series App.
- Navigate to ‘Configure Apex’
- The app will try to connect however it will be unable to do so. It will then display a ‘Connection to the Apex Pod Failed’ screen if the Pod has disconnected from the app.
- Select the link ‘Don’t have your original Pod? Pair to a New Pod?’ link, this will remove the association with the Pod and enable you to connect again
- You will be prompted to confirm this action
- Select the ‘Pair your Apex Pod’ button
When a factory reset has been completed on the Pod, you are now able to pair the Pod.
Please Note: The Pod cannot be paired again unless it has been factory reset.
