What metrics does APEX Athlete Series Product track?
Total distance - Total distance covered by the athlete during the session. Units can be configured in preferences to meters, kilometers, yards or miles
Meters per minute – Total distance covered divided by the total time of the session, e.g. 1000 meters in a 10-minute session would equal 100 meters per min
Current speed – Speed the athlete is currently running at in m/s, km/h or mph
Max speed – Maximum speed the athlete reached during the session in m/s, km/h or mph
Sprint Distance – Total distance covered at a speed of 5.5 meters per second/12.3mph or above. To register as sprint distance, the speed must be maintained for a minimum duration of 1 second. This sprint threshold is configurable in the individual profile
Number of Sprints – Total number of sprints performed by the athlete. Sprints are calculated in the same way as sprint distance but register as a count of sprints rather than a distance
HSR (High Speed Running) – Total distance covered at a speed of 5.5 meters per second/12.3 mph or above
HMLD (High Metabolic Load Distance) – Total distance covered at a speed greater than 5.5 meters per second & while accelerating/decelerating at a magnitude of 2m/s² or above. HMLD is a measure of the total volume of high intensity activity
Step Balance – This is a measure of the balance of the force exerted between your left and right side while running. It is displayed as a left-right ratio on your app
Accelerations – Number of accelerations performed in a session or game. An acceleration is defined as a change in speed with a magnitude of 3 m/s² or above and must be maintained for at least half a second
Decelerations – Number of decelerations performed in a session or game. A deceleration is defined as a change in speed with a magnitude of 3 m/s² or above and must be maintained for at least half a second
DSL (Dynamic Stress Load) – (Physical stress/load put on the body) Dynamic Stress Load is a measure of accumulated load. It is calculated as the sum of the G-forces experienced by the athlete throughout the session. DSL is a measure unique to each athlete and should be compared from one session to another rather than against other athletes
Current Heart Rate – Current heart rate of an athlete in beats per minute
Maximum Heart Rate – Maximum heart rate reached by the athlete during the session in beats per minute
Average Heart rate – Average heart rate of the athlete during the session in beats per minute
Time in Red Zone – Total time spent above 85% of max heart rate
Average Calories – Average number of calories burned during the session in kcal
